Everyone loves the Debussy and Ravel Quartets – they are fascinating to listen to and rewarding to perform. Each instrument participates in beautiful solos and the creation of impressionistic colors. Here’s a wonderful opportunity for you to take a deep dive into these masterpieces with the Jasper String Quartet.

The curriculum includes:

• Four interpretive sessions focusing on a particular movement or thematic musical element

• Weekly master class: Individual coaching of the highlight excerpts from the Debussy and Ravel Quartets

• Private lessons: Weekly 30 minute private lessons

• Quartet performance coaching sessions: A Jasper String Quartet member will coach you individually on how to function effectively in the Debussy and Ravel quartets – balance, bow strokes, playing partnerships, etc.

• Side-by-side performance: Record yourself performing a movement of Debussy or Ravel with the Jasper String Quartet. Learn the intimate art of chamber music playing by doing!

In addition, students enrolled in this seminar will get to learn from each of Credo's four guest quartets though these special presentations:
